Q. How to add or remove added MailPlus licenses in Synology NAS?
To add purchased MailPlus licenses in Synology MailPlus Server, make sure your Synology device is connected to the Internet. Log in to DSM > Lunch “MailPlus Server” > “License” to enter your license keys. To remove a license key, now there is not a delete function in MailPlus Server. However, you can transfer it to another Synology NAS that is connected to the same Synology account. If you need to transfer the account to another Synology Account, you could let contact us or Synology Technical Support.
Q. Do licenses have an expiration date? Do they need to be updated?
No, they do not. Both the default free license and the purchased license are valid forever.
Q. I didn't receive the license I ordered. What should I do?
Once the order is placed, the license email will be sent immediately. If you haven’t received it, please check your spam folder in your mail system. You can also log in by your account on our website to check. If you still can’t find it, please contact us.

Q. How many MailPlus accounts does my Synology NAS support?
You can go to the Synology website > Download Center > Select NAS model > Documents > Product Specification. The file will list the suggested maximum simultaneous MailPlus logins. You can then add the required additional licenses based on the maximum suggetion Please note that Synology NAS that supports MailPlus comes with 5 free email accounts.
Q. Does Virtual DSM (vDSM) come with free MailPlus licenses?
Yes, vDSM’s MailPlus Server comes with 5 free account licenses, just like the physical NAS.
Q. Can purchased Synology MailPlus licenses be migrated or reinstalled to another Synology NAS?
The purchased licenses could be migrated to another Synology NAS. License keys are linked to Synology Account. Just go to the target Synology NAS and lunch “Synology Account”, then log in with the Synology account linked to the MailPlus license. Then, lunch Synology MailPlus Server > Licenses > Add License, and enter the license code to complete the transfer to another Synology NAS.
Q. Are licenses limited to certain regions?
No, our licenses are not limited to certain regions. They can be legally installed and applied to any Synology NAS in the world.
